Description
The City of San Mateo is inviting sealed bids for the construction of the 2nd & El Camino Real Garage Traffic Coating. The project includes the application of traffic coating to the garage, and bidders must purchase a complete set of plans and specifications through Barker Blue to be eligible to bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to modify the award. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations, and contractors must comply with the requirements for non-discrimination and prevailing wage rates.
• The bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check made payable to the City of San Mateo in an amount not less than 10% of the aggregate amount of the bid.
• The contractor must possess a Class C-32 license and listed subcontractors must possess the required licenses for their specialty work.
• The project is subject to the restrictions and requirements of any and all Federal, State, and San Mateo County Health Orders in effect during the contract period.
• The City will retain 5% of the contract price for 35 days after recording the Notice of Completion, but the bidder may substitute securities for this retention or request that the City make payments of retentions earned directly to an escrow agent at the bidder's expense.
