Data Sharing for Demographic Research Infrastructure Program

The National Institutes of Health is seeking applications for the Data Sharing for Demographic Research Infrastructure Program. This initiative will continue supporting a repository for datasets produced through support from the Population Dynamics Branch and other components of NICHD's Division of Extramural Research. The grantee will be expected to provide resources to researchers on best practices for archiving data, including information about sharing qualitative and other sensitive data. Key responsibilities include processing new and updated datasets, disseminating datasets and their documentation, reviewing and overseeing data use agreements, facilitating downloads of data and resources, maintaining a guide to NICHD PDB archived data, and providing technical assistance to users. • The grantee will be required to process 20-40 new and updated datasets annually. • The grantee will be required to disseminate 135 datasets and their documentation annually. • The grantee will be required to review and oversee 30 data use agreements annually. • The grantee will be required to facilitate 700,000 or more downloads of data, documentation, and other resources annually. • The grantee will be required to maintain a guide to NICHD PDB archived data, including data archived elsewhere. • The grantee will be required to provide technical assistance to 1,500-2,000 users annually.
