IN-FRAME REBUILT OF EXISTING CUMMINS L9 ENGINES IN FIRE APPARATUS

The City of Mobile is soliciting sealed competitive bids to perform in‑frame rebuilds of two existing Cummins L9/ISL9 diesel engines installed in its fire‑apparatus fleet. The vendor must tow each engine to its own shop, complete a full OEM‑standard overhaul (including new heads, turbochargers, fuel system components, and required fluids), conduct a pump‑test certification, and then deliver the rebuilt apparatus under its own power back to Mobile. Bids are to be submitted sealed, signed, and accompanied by a 5 % bid bond.
