AN42--Intent to Modify Current Contract - Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine

The Department of Veterans Affairs, War Related Illness and Injury Study Center, is seeking to modify an existing contract with the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. The modification will add an additional position and increase the contract value to support the center's clinical and research mission. The contractor will provide scientific support related to military medicine and veteran health, including staffing for a Health Coach, Associate Scientific Director, Epidemiologist, and Senior Education and Risk Communication Advisor. The contract period will be for the remaining option years 1 through 4, with option periods exercised as needed and not guaranteed. • The contractor must have extensive experience managing clinical research in the military/veteran community. • The contractor must provide support and administrative capabilities to allow WRIISC staff to maintain their scientific and clinical focus. • The contractor must have expertise in recruiting and hiring research personnel and knowledge of the Washington DC VA Medical Center. • The contractor will contribute to the development of post-deployment health expertise for Veterans and their healthcare providers.
