Crosswalk Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons Project

The City of Porterville is seeking bids for the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons at various crosswalks. The project includes stripping and markings and related appurtenances. The successful bidder will be required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and services. The bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bidder's Bond in the amount of 10% of the bid. The contract will incorporate the applicable provisions of the State Labor Code, and compliance with prevailing wage rates and apprenticeship employment standards will be required. • The project includes the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons at Elderwood, Westfield, Mulberry, Putnam, Westfield, Orange, Pioneer, and Prospect crosswalks. • The bid must be submitted by May 15, 2026, at 2:30 PM. • The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. • The contract will be awarded to the bidder who best serves the interests of the City. • The project duration is 60 working days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed.
