Professional Engineering Services for Carpenter Ridge Emergency Communication Tower Project

The County of Butte is seeking a qualified firm or individual to provide professional engineering services for the Carpenter Ridge Emergency Communication Tower Project. The project aims to construct and equip a new radio tower on Carpenter Ridge, located in the northernmost part of Butte County, to provide critical safety standards for over 22,000 low-to-moderate income residents. The selected respondent will be responsible for providing comprehensive, multi-disciplinary engineering services, including structural, civil, electrical, and geotechnical engineering, as well as environmental and regulatory coordination. The respondent must demonstrate experience in delivering projects funded through federal and/or state programs and have a strong working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and permitting processes. Some key responsibilities of the project include: • Conducting project kickoff meetings and reviewing existing studies and site data • Performing site reconnaissance and feasibility assessments • Coordinating with environmental consultants and agencies to ensure compliance with NEPA and CEQA • Preparing complete construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates • Assisting with permitting and regulatory approvals • Providing construction support services, including submittal and shop drawing review The ideal respondent will have a proven track record of working with public agencies, experience with federal and state funding requirements, and the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
