25-75 Atlantic Avenue Street Tree Initiative Phase 2

The City of Atlantic City is seeking bids for the 25-75 Atlantic Avenue Street Tree Initiative Phase 2 project, which involves planting approximately 148 balled and burlapped street trees along Atlantic Avenue. The project includes excavating, preparing, and expanding tree beds, soil placement, and installing and maintaining trees. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all incidental work necessary for the project. The contract duration is 850 calendar days, and the contractor must guarantee the work for a period of two years from the completion date of installation. • The project requires the contractor to remove concrete flags, tree pit debris, and install new concrete flags. • The contractor must backfill tree pits with approved soil and plant trees according to the ANSI A300 Part 6 standards. • The contractor is responsible for maintaining the trees for a two-year period, including watering, pruning, and mulching. • The contractor must coordinate with utility companies to reset existing castings, including stormwater manhole rims and catch basins, and must return any existing granite curb that is removed and not reset to the Atlantic City Public Works facility.
