Fitness Center Design and Equipment Upgrades

The City of Cincinnati’s Recreation Commission is seeking a vendor (or consortium) to redesign, upgrade, and maintain fitness centers at 13 municipal recreation locations. The scope includes a full inventory audit, space‑planning and ADA‑compliant design drawings, procurement of new commercial‑grade cardio and strength equipment (with lease and purchase options), repurposing or disposal of existing assets, a preventive‑maintenance plan, on‑site staff training, and a five‑year upgrade roadmap. The contract is for an initial three‑year term with the possibility of two one‑year extensions and requires a minimum 2 % MBE subcontracting participation. • Design and layout of each fitness area (ADA‑compliant, space‑efficient). • Supply, delivery, installation, and optional leasing of new cardio & strength equipment; disposal or repurposing of existing gear. • Provide preventive‑maintenance services, warranty coordination, and ~24 hours of staff training plus community ribbon‑cutting participation. • Submit a five‑year equipment upgrade and replacement plan; comply with a 1 % administrative fee and insurance/wage requirements.
