The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) is soliciting quotes for medical waste disposal services to ensure safe and compliant disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous medical waste generated from Region 4 - Delta county health departments. The selected vendor shall provide medical waste disposal services for 30-gallon boxes (containers) as requested per facility, including the box and liner. The vendor must collect medical-biohazardous waste on a monthly basis and provide reliable, environmentally-friendly, and regulatory-compliant medical waste management services. Key responsibilities include: • Providing 30-gallon boxes and liners for monthly collection, transport, and disposal of medical-biohazardous waste • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as RCRA, OSHA, and MDEQ guidelines • Implementing administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Protected Health Information • Reporting any Security Incidents or Breaches to MSDH without unreasonable delay • Providing staff training programs and ensuring that all staff involved in the collection, transportation, and disposal of medical waste are adequately trained and certified
