Flooring Repair Services

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking to establish convenience contracts with qualified flooring specialists to offer professional flooring repair services within the student housing facilities on the main UNC Charlotte campus, on an as-needed basis. The projects covered by this contract will be coordinated by Housing Departmental Staff and will consist of mostly small informal projects that include minor repairs to existing flooring, usually involving one unit/public area or less. • The contractor will be responsible for moving any and all existing furniture and for returning furniture to its original placement. • The contractor will be responsible for meeting quick turnaround times and deadlines, and working weekends and nights may be necessary. • The contractor will be responsible for replacement of all flooring according to manufacturer’s specifications and instructions and shall offer at least a one (1) year warranty period for all labor. • The contractor will be responsible for demolition and removal of replaced flooring, and use of University dumpster/trash containers is prohibited unless agreed to prior to beginning work. • The University will supply ONLY the flooring product to be replaced, and the contractor is responsible for providing all tools, labor, and ancillary materials needed for repair and installation. The proposal should include a description of the organizational and operational structure, technical approach, and pricing associated with the RFP.
