Parking Garage Overhaul - South Miami Metrorail Garage Rehabilitation

The work, in general, consists of the rehabilitation of the existing parking garage located at 5949 Sunset Drive. The work includes but is not limited to, furnishing all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, services, and all incidentals for the concrete repairs, joint repairs, structural steel restoration, lighting repairs, light pole repairs/replacements, and misc. electrical repairs, where applicable, in compliance with the Florida Building Code, 8th Edition (2023) and the latest FDOT Design Standards. Project Background: This garage was built in 1984, and it is more than 40 years old. The structural integrity of this garage has deteriorated and needs to be repaired. This project consists of performing structural and electrical repairs based on the 40-year recertification inspections. In its current condition, the parking garage cannot be granted recertification. Once repairs are completed, the garage can be reinspected and final reports submitted to the building department for recertification. This garage is located at 5949 Sunset Drive, Miami, FL 33143.
