Door-to-Door Household Hazardous Waste Collection

The City of Rancho Cordova is seeking a contractor to provide door-to-door household hazardous waste (HHW) collection services to its residents. The contractor will be responsible for collecting HHW from single-family residences, transporting it to a permitted facility, and ensuring that the materials are properly processed and disposed of. The contractor must have experience providing hazardous waste collection services in California and must be able to provide a convenient and efficient collection system for residents. The contract term is expected to be 36 months, with an option to extend through June 30, 2031. • The contractor must provide a phone number and online method for residents to schedule collections. • The contractor must exercise reasonable care and diligence in providing HHW collection services. • The contractor must provide written instructions to residents on the proper containment and storage of materials. • The contractor must provide a methodology for residents to provide feedback on the program. • The contractor must submit monthly reports to the City, including invoicing, participation, and disposition information.
