BJA FY25 Second Chance Act Community-based Reentry Program

The BJA FY25 Second Chance Act Community-based Reentry Program aims to support community-based organizations and tribal governments in providing mentoring and transitional services to adults returning to communities after incarceration. Services may be provided pre- and/or post-release. The program focuses on individuals assessed as moderate to high risk for recidivism. • The program is designed to reduce recidivism rates among adults returning to communities after incarceration. • Community-based organizations and tribal governments are eligible to apply for funding. • The program provides funding for mentoring and transitional services, including pre- and post-release services. • The program aims to support individuals assessed as moderate to high risk for recidivism. • The funding range for this program is between $0 and $1,000,000.
