Description
The Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) is seeking a commissioning agent to provide commissioning services for the Alger School renovation project. The selected firm will be responsible for ensuring that all systems are well-designed, complete, and functioning properly. The scope of work includes commissioning planning and design phase services, construction phase services, and warranty period services. The firm will be required to work closely with the design team, construction manager, and GRPS staff to ensure that the project meets the owner's requirements.
Some key responsibilities of the commissioning agent include:
* Developing commissioning requirements and plans
* Conducting site visits and observing system installations
* Witnessing and documenting functional performance tests
* Reviewing equipment warranties and operation and maintenance manuals
* Providing training to GRPS operating personnel
* Compiling a commissioning record and systems manual
The ideal candidate will have experience in commissioning services, particularly in educational facilities, and will be able to demonstrate their ability to work collaboratively with the project team.
