Recruitment, Training, and Support of Alternative Certification Teachers for High-Need NYC Schools

The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) is seeking information from vendors who can provide recruitment, training, and support services for alternative certification teachers in high-need NYC schools. The goal is to ensure teacher effectiveness, retention, and alignment with NYC DOE's equity and inclusion goals. Vendors responding to this Request for Information (RFI) must note that any subsequent procurement would be for services outlined in this RFI. The NYCDOE is interested in responses from recruiters, staffing, training agencies registered as Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) or firms that are willing to partner with an MWBE vendor to meet the qualification for procurement. Key services may include: • Recruitment of certified alternative certification shortage area teachers • Training and support for recruited teachers • Placement of teachers in high-need NYC schools and early childhood education centers • Provision of a comprehensive continuum of services to ensure teacher effectiveness and retention • Alignment with NYC DOE's equity and inclusion goals
