Description

The Cosumnes Community Services District is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide fire service ground ladder and aerial apparatus inspection, testing, and certification services. The selected contractor will be required to provide comprehensive in-service inspection, nondestructive testing, and certification services for the District's ground ladders and aerial apparatus to verify compliance with manufacturer specifications and applicable NFPA standards. The contractor must be accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) or an equivalent nationally recognized accreditation body. The contract will be for a three-year term with the option to extend for up to two additional one-year terms. Some key points to consider: • The contractor must have experience performing ground ladder and aerial apparatus testing and certification services. • The contractor must be familiar with NFPA 1911 and NFPA 1930 standards. • The contractor must have the necessary licenses, certifications, and accreditations. • The contractor must provide a comprehensive report for each inspection and testing cycle. • The contractor must have the ability to schedule services in advance and provide flexibility to accommodate operational needs.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000 per year, based on the scope of work and the fact that the contract is for a three-year term with the option to extend for up to two additional one-year terms. The factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of ground ladders and aerial apparatus that need to be inspected, tested, and certified, the frequency of the inspections and testing, and the level of expertise and accreditation required of the contractor. The District's budget for this contract is not specified, but based on the scope of work, it is likely that the District has allocated a significant budget for this contract.
