Runway Safety Area Grading and Drainage Project

The Carson City Airport Authority is seeking bids for the Runway Safety Area Grading and Drainage Project. The project involves removing existing unpaved shoulders and replacing them with a full pavement section of new asphalt paved shoulder, grading adjacent infield to provide positive drainage, striping new runway edge line, and adjusting existing runway edge lights and miscellaneous electrical to grade and other related items for project completion. The project is federally funded through FAA and is subject to BABA requirements. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on June 19, 2026, and questions regarding the project must be submitted in writing by June 30, 2026. • The project consists of three phases: extending the runway, repaving the existing portion of the runway, and relocating the runway 33 glide slope. • The project requires the contractor to perform work totaling at least 50% of the bid amount and to not subcontract work totaling more than 50% of the bid amount. • The contractor must comply with all provisions of NRS Chapter 624 and Nevada Administrative Code, Chapter 624. • The successful bidder must obtain a valid Carson City Airport Business License within ten days after the award of the contract.
