Description
The County of Kauai is seeking a vendor to furnish and deliver one (1) unmarked armored police pursuit vehicle, complete with emergency vehicle equipment and ballistic protection, for the Kauai Police Department. The vehicle must meet specific requirements, including being a new or current year production, 4-door Chevrolet Tahoe 9C1 PPV, with a 5.3L V8 engine, and having various features such as LED headlights, a heavy-duty brake system, and a programmable light/siren controller. The vendor must also provide a complete documentation manual for the entire aftermarket build. The contract will be awarded to the responsive, responsible offeror submitting the lowest total bid price, and the contract duration is expected to be 365 calendar days.
• The vehicle must be delivered to the Kauai Police Department within 365 calendar days from the official commencement date.
• The vehicle must meet all Federal, Hawaii State, and County safety requirements.
• The vendor must provide a complete documentation manual for the entire aftermarket build.
• The contract includes the installation of various emergency vehicle equipment, including a programmable light/siren controller, additional perimeter warning lighting, and a low-frequency siren system.
• The vendor must provide a warranty for the vehicle and all installed equipment, with a minimum of three years for the audible/visual equipment.
