Description
The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting bids for the Edgewood & Golden Gate Septic to Sewer Project (ITB No. 2026-15). The project involves: * 130 existing septic abandonments and service stub-out to all lots * Construction of 12,843 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer * 4 lift stations * 3,830 linear feet of 4-inch force main * Restoration and repaving of all roads impacted by sewer construction The budget for the project is $4,673,324, provided by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) on a cost-reimbursable basis. EST * Posting of intended award: August 25, 2026 * Board consideration of intended award: September 21, 2026 * Posting of notice of award: September 22, 2026 A Cone of Silence will be in effect from July 16, 2026, to the issuance of the Notice of Award, during which time bidders are prohibited from communicating with county personnel, except through official channels. Bidders must submit their bids in writing, and late bids will not be accepted. The county reserves the right to reject any bid found to be non-responsive, vague, or non-conforming. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a contract with the county, which will begin upon approval of the Board of County Commissioners and the issuance of a Notice to Proceed (NTP).
