Description
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is soliciting bids for the removal, transportation, and recycling of waste tires and highway tire scrap generated within KYTC Districts 1 through 12. The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, equipment, containers, transportation, permits, and services necessary to remove and properly recycle waste tire materials in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• The contract will be for a period of one year with an option to renew for four additional one-year periods.
• The vendor must provide a 30 cubic yard roll-off container or equivalent-size open-top trailer at each selected site.
• The vendor must pick up waste tires upon notification by KYTC personnel when the container is full.
• The vendor must guarantee that 100% of waste tires and tire scrap collected under this contract are recycled.
• The vendor must maintain all required permits throughout the duration of the contract.
• The vendor must provide proof of permitting upon request.
