Description
The US Army is seeking a general contractor to add an approximate 1,280 SF metal building office addition and new recessed truck dock to the existing Textile Warehouse at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The project includes repairs or replacement of mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems, as well as interior remodeling work. The contractor will be responsible for providing all supervision, management, personnel, labor, equipment, transportation, supplies, and other items necessary to complete the project. The contract will be a firm fixed price contract, and the contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for competition.
Some key features of the project include:
• Addition of a 1,280 SF metal building office addition and new recessed truck dock
• Repair or replacement of mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems
• Interior remodeling work, including carpentry, painting, and floor and wall coverings
• Sustainable management of waste, with a goal of diverting 60% of demolition and construction waste from landfill disposal
• Compliance with all safety measures outlined in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety standards
• Quality control plan, including three phases of inspection and testing
• Project signage, including notification of construction and installation personnel
• Utility services and locates, including coordination with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and notification of utility disruptions.
