Bass Lake Dock

The United States Air Force, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) is seeking capabilities packages from potential sources for market research purposes. The purpose of this notice is to design, procure, and install one floating dock in Bass Lake at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The dock should provide a safe, stable, and accessible structure for tying up and launching canoes, kayaks, and other self-propelled watercraft. The scope of work includes designing, procuring, and installing the dock, which should be handicap accessible and allow customers to safely enter and exit their watercraft. The dock should also be able to adjust to changing water levels and have a minimum load capacity suitable for 8-10 individuals, as well as 6 kayaks or canoes. Some key requirements for the project include: • The dock should be designed in a T-shape, with a minimum width of 5 feet and a minimum length of 10 feet, and a walkway with a minimum width of 5 feet and a minimum length of 20 feet. • The dock should have an aluminum/plastic frame and non-slip surfaces. • The dock should be equipped with a flotation system that allows it to remain stable and functional as water levels rise and fall. • The dock should have a canoe/kayak launch and roll-up built into the side of the dock. • The contractor should demonstrate experience in designing and installing floating dock systems and familiarity with marine construction and ADA accessibility requirements.
