Description
The City of Forest Park is soliciting bids for janitorial services to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for employees, residents, and visitors in various City-owned facilities. The contract will be for an initial one-year term with two optional one-year renewals. The City estimates that there are eight locations requiring frequent janitorial services. The successful bidder will be required to provide routine cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance services, including daily, weekly, and monthly tasks such as cleaning interior windows, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors. The bidder must also provide consumable janitorial supplies for the police services areas and comply with GCIC guidelines.
Some key tasks and frequencies include:
* Daily: Remove fingerprints and smudges, focus on high-traffic areas, pay attention to corners and edges, and ensure professional appearance
* Weekly: Clean interior windows, dust to hand height, and clean furniture
* Monthly: High dust above hand height, clean exterior of urns and trash containers, and clean tabletops and chairs
* Key areas to be cleaned include: offices, work areas, lobbies, restrooms, breakrooms, kitchens, conference rooms, and hallways.
The City reserves the right to cancel any and all solicitations and to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any and all bids.
