Description
The County of Union is soliciting a qualified electrical contractor to provide and install a Manual Transfer Switch (MTS) that will interface with the existing permanent generator at the Union County Judicial Center. The MTS must allow a trailer‑mounted generator to be connected via cam‑lock fittings to supply the building’s critical loads when the permanent generator fails. The work is a single‑phase, low‑voltage electrical installation, including all conduit, wiring, grounding, labeling, and testing required by the NEC and applicable local codes. Bidders must be licensed in North Carolina, submit a 5 % bid bond, and be able to start within 45 calendar days of receiving the Notice to Proceed. The contract is a lump‑sum award; the bid opening is scheduled for November 12, 2026.
