SSC Advance Skirts Systems

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is conducting a survey of approved sources for the Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) Advance Skirts Systems. The Government intends to establish two indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity follow-on contracts to two small business concerns, Avon Engineered Fabrications LLC and SMR Acquisition LLC. The contracts will be based on other than full and open competition due to the unique capabilities of these suppliers. The skirt materials and manufacturing processes must meet specific requirements, and the Naval Sea Systems Command will approve the materials and processes. • The contracts will be for the fabrication of SSC skirts in accordance with NSWC PCD drawings. • The skirt materials and manufacturing processes must meet the requirements of Amphibious Craft, Air Cushion Project Peculiar Document No. 802-6336529E Skirt Material Characteristics and Requirements and Landing Craft, Air Cushion Project Peculiar Document NO. 802-6336530C Skirt Fabrication Procedures. • The contracts will be based on other than full and open competition due to the unique capabilities of the suppliers. • The qualification procedures consisted of first article tests for each vendor, which were successfully fulfilled under the contract terms and accepted by the government.
