Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a contractor to perform hydraulic dredging on the Illinois Waterway, a 291-mile stretch of river. The work includes preparation of dredged material placement sites, open channel and small boat harbor hydraulic dredging, relocation of navigation channel markers, and site restoration. The contractor will be required to perform a minimum of 4,000 cubic yards per day of channel maintenance dredging and 1,000 cubic yards per day of small boat harbor dredging. The contractor will also be required to provide their own equipment and personnel, and to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• The contractor will be required to dredge to a depth of 11 feet below flat pool.
• The contractor will be required to place dredged material in designated placement sites.
• The contractor will be required to monitor containment berms, levees, and drainage ditches to ensure no erosion is taking place.
• The contractor will be required to provide quality control for all construction operations.
• The contractor will be required to submit electronic records of inspection to the Contracting Officer.
