AS(X) Submarine Tender Recapitalization Program

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a contract for the Detail Design and Construction (DD&C) of two AS(X) Class Submarine Tender Replacement ships. The contract will include design maturation, procurement and integration of Vendor Furnished Information (VFI), data, provisions for the procurement of onboard spares and repair parts, outfitting, major shore-based spares, engineering and industrial support, special studies, emergent material and support, technical manuals, and other direct costs. The planned award is to National Steel and Shipbuilding Company. • The contract type is expected to be firm fixed price and cost type. • The contemplated efforts will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.103-1. • Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact NASSCO directly.
