Description
The Alabama Port Authority is seeking a qualified vendor to supply, test, and deliver a complete factory‑assembled 25 kV medium‑voltage switchgear system for the McDuffie Coal Terminal. The scope includes two main vacuum circuit breakers, one tie breaker, eight fused feeder compartments, a spare compartment, network and battery sections, full protective relay and power‑quality meter integration, enclosure, environmental controls, and a comprehensive spare‑parts package. The vendor must also provide factory acceptance testing (FAT) and a separate line‑item cost for a witnessed FAT, as well as deliver all required documentation, drawings, and spare parts. The bid must be accompanied by a 5 % bid bond (up to $10,000) and comply with E‑Verify, TWIC, and state tax‑exemption requirements.
• Supply of a split, rear‑accessible, metal‑clad 25 kV switchgear lineup (main‑tie‑main configuration).
• Included equipment: vacuum circuit breakers, SEL‑351S relays, SEL‑735 meters, managed Ethernet switch, fiber‑optic panel, 48 V DC battery backup, auxiliary power panel, and environmental control systems.
• Required services: factory testing, witnessed FAT, detailed documentation, spare‑parts package, and compliance with all applicable codes (ANSI, IEEE, NEC, etc.).
