Description
The City of Austin is seeking a pool of qualified contractors to provide commercial painting services on an as-needed basis for City-owned facilities. The contract will be for an initial term of 24 months, with the option to extend for up to three additional one-year periods. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary to complete the work. The city will issue a request for project quotes/proposals to all contractors awarded a contract under this solicitation, and award will be made to the responsive and responsible contractor submitting the lowest fixed price or most advantageous proposal.
Key aspects of the job include:
* Providing commercial painting services for City-owned facilities
* Managing multiple projects across various locations
* Working within standard hours (Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and being available for urgent requests 24/7
* Providing personnel schedules and ensuring proper identification for site access
* Maintaining safe work zones and complying with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
* Providing fixed-price proposals/quotes that include scope, quantities, itemized materials, and labor hours
* Completing work within the approved timeframe and ensuring uniform, defect-free finishes
