Description
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Aeronautics is seeking a qualified contractor to complete Phase 2 of the East Hangar Area Development at the Janesville Regional Airport. The work includes extensive earthwork, base preparation, asphalt paving, airport lighting installation, drainage, and related site improvements, with a required completion time of 25 working days. The project is located at 1716 W Airport Rd, Janesville, WI 53546 and will be awarded through a competitive bid process.
• Mobilization (max 10 % of base bid) and major earth‑excavation (≈ 17,104 CY)
• Installation of crushed‑aggregate base, hot‑mix asphalt surface, and lighting fixtures
• Additional tasks: pavement marking, curb‑in‑place, culvert installation, site grading, and landscaping
• Bid bond required at 5 % of total bid; electronic, check, or certificate acceptable
• Contract completion time: 25 working days after award.
