Hynes Transformer Vault Repairs - T04

This project includes providing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to provide specific concrete repairs for the Hynes Transformer Vault (Boylston St. vault) located in the sub-basement of the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center. The work consists mainly of structural concrete repairs but are not limited to the main vault room, it also encompasses repairs to the air intake and air exhaust vaults, the exterior surface above all of these vaults at sidewalk level, the removable access concrete slab located above the main transformer vault and repair of the opening edges, adjacent sidewalk repairs, repairs around the air exhaust vault grates, and adding access to the drive lane grating, sealing of joints, waterproofing, asphalt pavement repairs, protective coatings, construction temporary fencing, and other miscellaneous work as fully set forth in the bid documents. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:30 am on September 30, 2026, starting at the Main Building Entrance of the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center located at 900 Boylston St., Boston, Massachusetts. The pre-bid conference will be followed by a walkthrough of the site.
