Description
The California High‑Speed Rail Authority is seeking a qualified vendor to manufacture and deliver single‑mode, steel‑tape armored fiber‑optic cable (minimum 288 fibers) for the First Construction Segment of the early operating segment. The contract covers production of approximately 1.58 million feet of cable per year, delivery to two rail‑head locations (Wasco, Kern County and Fresno, Fresno County), and includes a 25‑year warranty, strict Buy‑America compliance, and extensive documentation and testing requirements.
• Manufacture ≈ 1.58 M ft of 2 × 144‑fiber (288‑fiber) armored cable per year, with optional 1 × 288‑fiber add‑on.
• Deliver to Wasco (Kern) and Fresno (Fresno) railheads in Q4 2027 and Q1 2028 (≈ 300 drums total).
