Description
The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is seeking bids for cropland production services at the Tuttle Creek Wildlife Area in Marshall County. The contract will involve approximately 1297.6 acres of crop production activities on 8 different tracts. The majority of production will be corn and soybeans, but other crops such as wheat and/or other small grains may be included in the rotation. The contractor will be required to plant milo every year and a cover crop on a minimum of 20% of acres planted. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for three additional 36-month periods.
• The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of crop production, including planting, harvesting, and maintenance.
• The contractor will be required to control noxious weeds and leave designated rows standing on field borders.
• The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental protection and labor standards.
• The contractor will be required to provide proof of insurance and bonding, as specified in the contract.
• The contractor will be required to comply with the terms and conditions of the contract, including those related to payment, performance, and termination.
