Description
The Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) intends to award a sole source purchase order to HIS Company, Inc. (Hisco) for the procurement of 600 KG of hotmelt, thermoplastic, custom color molding compound. The compound must meet specific requirements, including a custom color and adherence to MIL-STD-810. The procurement is being conducted under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items, and the Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with the supplier. Interested parties may submit a statement of capabilities, which will be considered for future competitive procurements.
• The required quantity is 600 KG of hotmelt, thermoplastic, custom color molding compound.
• The compound must meet specific requirements, including a melting viscosity at 210 Celsius in the range of 2,400 to 4,000 mPas and a yield strength of 3.3 N/mm2.
• The color must match all other cables being procured for future fieldings of Nett Warrior and the Integrated Visual Augmentation System.
• The procurement is being conducted under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items.
