Chesnut Park Managed Aquifer Recharge Well Drilling And Completion Of Subsurface Testing

The project involves the construction of a 24-inch diameter injection well for the Chesnut Park Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) system. The well will be drilled to a total depth of 1250 ft. below land surface and will utilize excess surface water from Lake Tarpon. The project aims to increase water levels in the upper Floridan aquifer, mitigate saltwater intrusion, and reduce nutrient loading to upper Tampa Bay. The contractor will be responsible for all permits, and the project will be co-funded by SWFWMD.
