600-Gallon External Fuel Tank Assembly

The US Air Force is seeking information from industry regarding the development of a 600-gallon external fuel tank assembly for the F-16 aircraft. The assembly must provide a minimum 600-gallon usable fuel capacity, be compatible with existing ground support and fuel tank loading equipment, and be capable of being loaded and structurally supported on F-16 wing stations 4 and 6. The Government is considering the use of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Acquisition Consortium Initiative Other Transaction Agreement for this potential acquisition. Interested parties are encouraged to submit responses that demonstrate they presently have the technology and qualifications to provide the system described above. • The assembly must increase range and loiter time while minimizing integration risks. • The assembly must be compatible with existing ground support and fuel tank loading equipment. • The assembly must be capable of being loaded and structurally supported on F-16 wing stations 4 and 6. • The assembly must be capable of operating across the full spectrum of operational mission profiles. • The Government is seeking information on mature, Non-Developmental Items (NDI) that meet the requirements stated above.
