Description
The Shakwak Highway Project involves the restoration of the highway surface and construction of a Bituminous Surface Treatment (BST) for approximately 17.9 kilometers of the Alaska Highway #1. The project includes various tasks such as loading, hauling, and compacting granular materials, restoring the roadway surface, and supplying emulsified asphalt. The project also involves traffic control and environmental compliance. The works consist of but are not limited to:
• Loading, Hauling, Placing and Compacting Granular "A"
• Restoring Roadway Surface
• Supply of HF-250S Emulsified Asphalt
• Construction of Bituminous Surface Treatment (BST)
• Restoring Existing W-Beam Guiderail
• Traffic Control
• Environmental Compliance
The project completion date is July 31, 2026.
