Sole Source Procurement for Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) System

The Clemson University intends to enter into a sole source contract with Agilent Technologies, Inc. for the procurement of a Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) system. The SFC system is required for the research group's synthetic organic chemistry program to measure and characterize enantio-purity of chiral organic compounds. The Agilent SFC system meets the specific requirements of the research group, including the ability to inject samples reliably and reproducibly from 0.1uL to 90uL without changing the loop, and a higher pressure-limit of 600bar. • The SFC system will be used for chiral analysis of a wide range of organic compounds. • The system must have a higher pressure-limit of 600bar and higher flow rates (up to 5ml/min). • Agilent is the only supplier that can provide an SFC system that meets these requirements.
