Equine Therapy

Macomb County Community Mental Health is seeking a provider for Equine Therapy services to serve youth in Macomb County. The services should be provided in accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Medicaid Provider Manual. The provider must have specialized training and experience in Equine Therapy and must comply with MDHHS licensing and certification requirements. The proposal should include a description of the bidder's experience, qualifications, and approach to providing the services. The contract will be awarded through September 30, 2027, with an option for renewal. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing Equine Therapy services to youth in Macomb County • Complying with MDHHS licensing and certification requirements • Having specialized training and experience in Equine Therapy • Utilizing the MCCMH electronic medical record known as FOCUS for claims submission and clinical documentation • Working with the MCCMH Managed Care Division to support level of care determination, authorization, and utilization management needs • Demonstrating competency and knowledge of the Michigan mental health system
