RFQ - Dock 3 and 5 Electrical Upgrade

The Port of Newport is seeking a contractor to perform electrical upgrades at Dock 3 and Dock 5. The scope of work includes demolishing existing pedestals, power cables, and panels, and providing new electrical service panels, metering equipment, and grounding electrode systems. The contractor will also be responsible for subgrade construction on the city sidewalk and for coordinating with the Port of Newport to schedule work outside of commercial fishing seasons. • The contractor must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal safety and environmental rules and regulations. • The contractor must provide a construction schedule and a Bill of Materials for approval by the Port of Newport. • The contractor must allow Port of Newport personnel to salvage spare parts from demolished pedestals before final disposal. • The contractor must pull all necessary permits and comply with prevailing wage rates if required.
