Precision Military Free Fall (MFF) Parachute System – Request for Information (RFI)

The Department of the Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing a Precision Military Free Fall (MFF) Parachute System. The system should meet key performance requirements, including higher deployment altitudes, improved glide performance, and compatibility with operational needs. The system consists of a main canopy, reserve canopy, and container/harness system. • The main parachute should support Bottom of Container (BOC) and Double Bag Static Line (DBSL) deployment methods. • The minimum military free fall exit altitude should be 3,500 ft AGL. • The maximum deployment altitude should be 35,000 ft MSL. • The system weight should be less than or equal to 35 lbs. • The system should have dual control lines for the main and reserve canopies. The information gathered from this RFI will be used to develop the acquisition strategy, statement of work, and performance specifications.
