Description
The Bureau of Reclamation's Central California Area Office (CCAO) is seeking a contractor to provide replacement packing for a leaking penstock expansion joint on Folsom Unit Two (2). The packing must be brand name New England Braiding Company Incorporated (NEBCO) and meet specific requirements, including being able to withstand temperature ranges from 32°F to 160°F and pressures up to 200 PSI. The contractor must provide pre-cut rolls of NEBCO 1” Style 274 AKII Hydropacking and NEBCO 1” Style 274 SC AKII Vibradamp Hydropacking.
* The packing must be able to maintain a constant seal around the entire penstock diameter.
* The packing must be able to withstand thermal and dynamic expansion.
* The packing must be able to resist vibration and maintain shape.
* The contractor must deliver the packing to the CCAO facility in Folsom, CA.
* The contractor must ensure that all materials are secure on pallets for offloading from the delivery truck.
