Description

The Sacramento County Department of Child, Family and Adult Services (DCFAS) is seeking eligible Adult Residential Facilities (ARFs), Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFEs), and Residential Care Facilities for the Chronically Ill (RCFCIs) that serve Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) or Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI) residents. The purpose of this funding is to preserve existing eligible adult and senior residential facilities in need of repair or required upgrades, thereby preventing closure, reduction of beds for qualified residents, and resident exits to homelessness. The funding priorities are: 1) facilities at the highest risk of closure, 2) facilities with the highest number/percentage of qualified residents, and 3) facilities that accept and serve qualified residents placed by Sacramento County programs. Eligible recipients must meet certain criteria, including being an existing licensed facility, currently serving at least one qualified resident, and being in good standing with Community Care Licensing (CCL) Division. The funding can be used for physical repairs and upgrades, inside or outside the facility, within the property line of the facility. Some key points to consider are: • The facility must be an existing licensed ARF, RCFE, or RCFCI. • The facility must currently serve at least one qualified resident. • The facility must be in good standing with Community Care Licensing (CCL) Division. • The funding can be used for physical repairs and upgrades. • The facility must agree to continue serving qualified residents and prioritize applications from qualified residents who are part of the prioritized population. • The facility must agree to a recorded deed restriction on the facility or property requiring that the facility continue to provide licensed adult and senior residential care for a duration to be determined by Sacramento County DCFAS.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is not explicitly stated, but based on the purpose of the funding, which is to preserve existing eligible adult and senior residential facilities in need of repair or required upgrades, it can be estimated that the budget will be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the funding will be used for physical repairs and upgrades, and the cost of such repairs and upgrades can vary widely depending on the scope of the project. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the size and condition of the facility, the type of repairs and upgrades needed, and the location of the facility.
