INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) DEMIL A STAINLESS STEEL SCRAP TERM CONTRACT NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC)

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is offering for sale Government-generated DEMIL A Stainless Steel Scrap located at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Kennedy Space Center. This Invitation for Bids (IFB) establishes a term contract for the sale of scrap property, with removal required as a condition of sale. The successful bidder shall remove scrap material on a recurring, as-needed basis in coordination with the Agency Government Representative (AGR). • The scrap stream may include mixed stainless scrap, cleaned and uncleaned shavings, panels and sheets, frames, food preparation equipment, and prefabricated stainless items with possible ferrous or non-ferrous attachments and incidental foreign material. • Estimated annual quantity: Approximately 100,000 pounds (not guaranteed). • The Contractor shall provide containers, perform removal as requested by the Government, and coordinate all activity through the AGR. • Billing is based on a published Fastmarkets index, bid percentage applied to market price, and verified weight tickets.
