McIntosh Power Plant Covered Parking

The City of Lakeland is seeking a qualified contractor to provide design, fabrication, shop drawings, and construction services for several covered parking structures at the C.D. McIntosh Power Plant. The project consists of eight different parking areas throughout the plant, and the selected contractor will be responsible for verifying field conditions, ensuring proper installation and alignment with Florida Building code, and providing a complete, ready-to-use covered parking area. The contractor must also comply with various insurance and safety requirements, including providing proof of insurance and maintaining a safe working environment. Some key aspects of the project include: • Verification of underground utilities and identification of potential conflicts • Preparation of detailed design and fabrication/shop drawings • Fabrication and installation of parking systems • Compliance with Florida Building code and ASCE Standard 7-22 • Provision of a fire watch and hot work permits as needed • Compliance with OSHA standards for excavation and trenching, equipment safety, and crane safety • Provision of references and certification of non-collusion and Local Vendor Preference (if applicable)
