Laboratory Steam Sterilizer

Binghamton University intends to purchase a steam-jacketed sterilizer unit for science research applications that meets or exceeds the following minimum technical specifications: Chamber Capacity and Design Interior Dimensions: The unit must feature a minimum interior chamber nominal dimension of approximately 20" x 20" x 38" (508 x 508 x 965 mm) with a total capacity of at least 250L. Jacket Construction: Must be a steam-jacketed design suitable for high-performance science and laboratory applications. Control System and Interface Controller: Must be equipped with an industrial-grade PLC control system (such as an Allen-Bradley MicroLogix™ or equivalent) to ensure enhanced functionality and long-term reliability. User Interface: Must feature a high-resolution, touch-sensitive interface screen (minimum 7-inch display). Display Quality: The interface must provide an 18-bit color graphic display with a minimum resolution of 640 x 480. Usability: The control system must offer a user-friendly matrix for cycle selection, real-time monitoring, and ease of operation. Operational Requirements The unit must be designed for state-of-the-art laboratory environments, providing high-efficiency sterilization while maintaining ease of maintenance and technical support compatibility. Administrative Note: The equipment must be suitable for freestanding or recessed installation and include height-adjustable steel floor stands. Interested vendors must provide documentation confirming their equipment meets or exceeds all aforementioned technical and safety standards.
