Taku Boulevard Improvements

The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking bids for the Taku Boulevard Improvements project. The project includes the reconstruction of Taku Boulevard from Mendenhall Loop Road to Aspen Avenue, replacement of the ductile iron water main and services with HDPE, replacement of the asbestos cement sanitary sewer main and services with PVC, improvements to the storm drain system, and other miscellaneous items. The project is expected to be completed by October 1, 2026. • Replacement of ductile iron water main and services with HDPE • Replacement of asbestos cement sanitary sewer main and services with PVC • Improvements to the storm drain system • Replacement of roadway subbase and resurfacing with new asphalt cement pavement • Addition of curb and gutter and sidewalk along the north side of the roadway • Replacement of three light fixtures on wood utility poles with new LED fixtures • Other miscellaneous items related to the work
