The U.S. Army, Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), intends to award a firm-fixed price (FFP) and time-and-materials (T&M) hybrid service contract on a sole-source basis for the calibration and repair of government-owned Temperature and Relative Humidity (TRH) probes. The contract will support the operations of the Meteorological Branch, West Desert Test Center (WDTC), DPG. The selected contractor will be required to provide off-site calibration, adjustment, and repair of approximately 463 government-owned TRH probes. The probes are critical components of the Meteorology Branch’s Portable Weather Instrumentation Data System (PWIDS), which collects and transmits real-time weather data for range safety and test support at DPG.
• The contractor must have the unique expertise required to calibrate and repair the probes while guaranteeing critical compatibility with DPG's existing meteorological sensor network.
• The contractor must comply with National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) traceability, Army Regulation AR 750-43, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
• The contractor must provide technical data in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence clearly demonstrating the capability to perform the services without introducing unacceptable mission risk, system incompatibility, or duplicated costs.
