UNIT 4 CELL 5 LINER CONSTRUCTION TWIN CHIMNEYS LANDFILL

The County of Greenville is seeking proposals for the construction of a 8.6 acre base liner at the Twin Chimneys Landfill. The liner system will include 24-inches of 1x10-5 cm/sec of on-site clay, GCL, 60-mil HDPE, geocomposite, and 24-inches of off-site protective cover. The contractor will be responsible for construction quality control and surveying. The project is expected to be completed within 180 calendar days from Notice to Proceed and Final Completion within 210 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. • The contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment to construct the liner system. • The contractor will be responsible for construction quality control and surveying. • The project is subject to liquidated damages of $1,000/day for Substantial Completion and $500/day for Final Completion. • The contractor will provide a project schedule that aligns with the proposed construction sequence. • The contractor will provide lump sum pricing for the project.
