Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) intends to award a sole source purchase order for preventative maintenance services for diagnostic equipment at the LAVECEN in the Dominican Republic. The scope of this work includes onsite visits from technicians, inspection and replacement of specific parts of the equipment, and customer service. The service is for various instruments, including Bio Tek, Sorvall, Kingfisher, and QuantStudio.
• The service includes annual preventative maintenance for the diagnostic equipment.
• The equipment is currently being used in the Dominican Republic to combat the African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak.
• The only source within the Dominican Republic capable of providing the service maintenance and/or calibration on the equipment under the warranty terms is BioAnalytical Instruments Inc.
• Market research was conducted by the NVSL to identify available sources and evaluate the availability of the marketplace to meet the requirements.
